| I am glad you have stopped by our website. If you have been wondering about God and/or Christianity or looking for a church home, I hope that you will stop by in person for Sunday worship or for one of our social events. Morgan Park Presbyterian Church is a low pressure place to visit. We enjoy visitors but know that each one of us is on a unique pilgrimage and we may just be one stop on your journey. Your presence will enrich our community even if it is only a one time visit.
The most important thing to know about God is that God loves you, just as you are today, and wants to be in relationship with you.
I am both a relatively new pastor and new to the community. I came to Morgan Park Presbyterian in September of 2011. I am an M.Div graduate of McCormick Theological Seminary and also have an advanced degree in Biblical Studies from the Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago. Prior to being called by God into ordained ministry, I worked for many years as a CPA and also taught Iyengar yoga for over 12 years. I enjoy being at this church because we try and be authentic with one another on our Christian walk. We are diverse in many ways: race, class, age, backgrounds. Our diversity sometimes challenges us but it also helps us grow together as we seek to be Christ’s body in the world.
